Generally speaking, there\u2019s no reason to change your passcode, but if you inadvertently or intentionally shared it with someone with whom you wouldn\u2019t trust your bank account information, changing it to something new is a good idea. We could also imagine a child who knows your passcode changing it on you as a prank. For whatever reason, if you can\u2019t enter your new passcode, a new iOS 17 feature called <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT213849\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Passcode Reset<\/a> lets you use your old one for 72 hours. Once you\u2019ve tried the wrong passcode five times, tap Forgot Passcode <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u278a<\/span>, enter your old passcode <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u278b<\/span>, and create a new one <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u278c<\/span>.
