Apple Is Shutting Down My Photo Stream\u2014Switch to iCloud Photos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Note: Most of you reading this message are using iCloud services, so this announcement about My Photo Stream will not affect your photo syncing at all.<\/strong> <\/em><br \/>\nApple has quietly announced that it is <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT210705\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shutting down the My Photo Stream service<\/a>, the company\u2019s first iCloud-based effort at helping users sync photos between devices. <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT201317\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">My Photo Stream<\/a> had numerous limitations but was free and didn\u2019t count against iCloud storage quotas. If you\u2019re still using My Photo Stream, note that photos will stop uploading as of June 26, and all My Photo Stream photos will be removed from iCloud on July 26; they\u2019ll remain on your individual devices. Apple is encouraging all remaining My Photo Stream users to switch to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT204264\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iCloud Photos<\/a>, which is more capable in every way but might require you to pay for additional <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT201238\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iCloud+ storage<\/a> to hold your photo library. Those who don\u2019t want their photos in the cloud might check out <a href=\"https:\/\/mylio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mylio Photos+<\/a>.
